To assist subscribers using workplace preparing for next year, the declared
and anticipated public holidays for 2016 per state and territory are published
below. The holidays could be subject to change (including additional holidays)
by proclamation or gazettal with the relevant state or territory government. An

plus the applicable modern award or enterprise agreement, which takes care of
the employees duties. Subscribers will probably be advised from a change to the
date of observance of the public holiday or even the declaration of a typical

Payment for your public holiday
Payment for just about any work performed by a staff member on a public holiday is determined with the applicable modern award (governed by the transitional provisions of established track record award), or enterprise agreement. Payment for work performed over a public holiday to have an award/agreement-free employee is at the mercy of the individual’s contract of employment.
Local or regional holidays
It should also be noted a public holiday is usually declared for a particular region or locality in a state or maybe a territory. Reference must be made to established track record state or territory government web site to determine the date of an local or regional Victorian school holidays 2016.
